ENZO's Success at 2010 Scottsdale All-Arabian Show

The 2010 Scottsdale Show saw a new wave of success for Enzo offspring in both Halter and performance competition. Of the 28 Enzo sons and daughters shown, sixteen competed successfully in a variety of Halter and performance divisions. Of the three championships and one reserve, two were in halter and two in performance. Of the seventeen Top 5 and Ten awards, six were in performance and the balance in Halter. Two major champions came out of the mix. Most impressive was the beautiful Dionea PA (x Donatella Versace) who was purchased by Claire and Margaret Larson from Pomeroy Arabians International just a month before the Scottsdale Show and proved to be quite the buy. Winner of the Stock/Hunter Yearling Filly Halter class and the HA Junior Champion Filly title (both unanimously) Dionea PA came back on Sunday to beat out all competition, including National Champion Hometown Hottie, to take the Scottsdale HA Supreme Championship roses. This was an extraordinary accomplishment for a yearling and certainly a harbinger of things to come. Enzo's second champion at the show was Cielo E+/ (x Echos Hi Fidelity,) who won the very competitive Western Pleasure AAOTR 18-35 Championship. Cielo E+/ was also Top Ten in the Western Pleasure AATR 18-39 Championship and first in the Western Pleasure AATR 18-39 and the PB Sport Horse Dressage 3-Year-Olds + Gelding Halter ATH. Cielo E+/ is now a five-time National Top Ten and was the 2009 Canadian Reserve National Champion in Western Pleasure AOTR 18-39. He was Enzo's leading winner at both the 2009 and the 2010 Scottsdale shows.

New to the ranks of Enzo winners was Fidenzio (x WN Infinity), a four-year-old with a Top Ten in the Halter Futurity Geldings at the 2009 U.S. Nationals and a few 2010 wins at a small Houston show to his credits prior to his appearance at Scottsdale. Fidenzio was Top Ten in both the Hunter Pleasure AATR 18-39 and the AAOTR 18-35 Championships, and took Reserve Championship honors in the SSS Hunter Pleasure Futurity 3 & 4-Year-Olds. Another big win for Enzo came with Enzperation XX (x Olivia D), who trotted out with the coveted blue in the PB Yearling Senior Colt Halter class. Paramount JA (x Psyanne) was second in the PB Yearling Gelding Halter.

Additional Top Ten awards went to Chancellor MW (x Star Chance SA) in both the PB Two-Year-Old Senior Colt Halter and the SSS Two-Year-Old Colt Halter ATH, H Anzo H (x *Alegoria PASB) in the SSS Yearling Colt/Gelding Halter, Leander PA (x Elandra PASB) in the Two-Year-Old Senior Colt Halter, Lemanz (x Daliaa B) in the Yearling Junior Colt Halter, LLC Larenzo (x AAngel Bey Lud) in the Four-Year-Old Gelding Halter, Positiw Energy CF (x SW Positiw) in the 3 & 4-Year-Old Mare Halter AAOTH, Sue Zee FMA (x Sue Bees Honey) in the Two-Year-Old Junior Filly Halter, Zonyx (x Balihs Treasure) in the Three & Four-Year-Old Stallion Halter AAOTH, and Zorradoo (x LC Gabriele) in the Three-Year-Old Gelding Halter. Additional Scottsdale winners included Emage VA (x Gi Gi Giselle) who took a Top Five in the SSS Western Pleasure Maturity Championship ATR Five-Year-Olds, and LL Famenza (x LL Basketura Fame) who was 5th in the Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse Mares.

The 2009 Scottsdale Show was a great one for four-time U.S. National and Reserve National Champion and former Scottsdale Champion Stallion, Enzo. Of the 32 Enzo sons and daughters entered at the show, nineteen were shown and competed successfully in a variety of Halter and performance competition. His offspring completed the show with four championships, two reserve championships, fifteen Top Ten awards, five first place ribbons and additional class placements. All of the championships and reserves were in performance competition. Of the Top Ten awards, 12 were in Halter and three were in performance.

Enzo’s 2009 Scottsdale champions included his leading winner at the show, Cielo E (x Echos Hi Fidelity), who won championships in both the Western Pleasure AATR 18-39 and the Western Pleasure AAOTR 18-35. Cielo E was also Top Ten in the prestigious open Western Pleasure Championship, and won three additional classes: the Western Pleasure AATR 18-39, the Western Pleasure Ladies to Ride and the Western Pleasure Geldings. He also placed fifth in the Western Pleasure AAOTR 18-35. The Enzo son Troy E (x Arsyn) was also a double show champion, taking the roses in both the Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse and the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Hunter Pleasure Futurity Horse (3 & 4-Year-Olds). Troy E also won the Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse (3 & 4-Year-Old) class.

Reserve Champions at the show included Enevetable E (x Fames Lastlove CAHR) in the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Hunter Pleasure Futurity Horse (3 & 4-Year-Olds). Enevetable E also took two third place ribbons in Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse, one in the 3 & 4-Year-Old class and one in the Gelding & Stallion class. Enzo’s second reserve champion at the Scottsdale Show was Malecon (x Tiaraa Rose), Reserve Champion Scottsdale Signature Stallion Hunter Pleasure Maturity (5-Year-Old).

In addition to those above, winners of Top Ten awards at the show included Chancellor MW (x Star Chance SA) in the Senior Yearling Halter Colts and the SSS Yearling Colt/Gelding ATH. Tradishan (x Tiarra Rose), one of three full siblings by Enzo that did well at the Scottsdale Show this year, was Top Ten in the Gelding Halter 4-6-Year-Old JTH and in the Gelding Halter 5 & Over. D Giacomo E (x Gypsy Inmy Soul) was named Top Ten in the SSS Two-Year-Old Colt Championship ATH, Estavan (x Bey Unforgettable) in the Two-Year-Old Gelding Halter, Leander PA (x Elandra PASB) in the Yearling Junior Halter Colts, Lorenzo FW (x Coco Rose) in the Gelding Halter 4 to 6-Year-Old JTH and the Gelding Halter 3 & 4-Year-Old AAOTH, MC Nautilus (x MC Khardia) in the Gelding Halter 4 to 6-Year-Old JTH, and Om El Esprit (x Om El Jimala) in the prestigious Yearling Junior Halter Filly class. Malecon’s and Tradishan’s full brother, PA Benz (x Tiaraa Rose) was a Top Ten in the Two-Year-Old Halter Colts AAOTH and second in the important Two-Year-Old Senior Colt class. Enzos Diva IA (x Midnight Dream IA) won the Yearling Junior Halter Filly AAOTH and LLC Lorenzo (x Angel Bey Lud) was second in the Three-Year-Old Gelding Halter class.

Palio Di Enzo (x LV Markelle) was a Top Ten in the Western Pleasure AATR 18-39 and took a fourth in the Western Pleasure AATR 18-39 class, and FH Lorenzo (x VP Lyrical) was a Top Ten in the Sport Horse Under Saddle AATR.  FH Lorenzo also took a fourth in the Dressage Training Level Test 1 AATR and a sixth in the Sport Horse Under Saddle AATR

Scottsdale Show, 2008

The 2008 Scottsdale Show proved to be especially significant for Enzo. Nine of his competing offspring won 12 Championships and Reserves in Halter, Western Pleasure and Hunter Pleasure.

Highlights included Envy C’s Championship in the Open Yearling Senior Fillies, (closely followed by EVG Tessara’s Reserve in the same class for a dynamic 1-2 punch), Eden C’s Reserve Championship (and obvious huge crowd support) in the Three-Year-Old Colts, Beyonce E’s lovely win in the very competitive Scottsdale Signature Western Pleasure Futurity Championship, the incredible black Ferrer’s appearance and win in the Four-Year-Old Stallions, and Malecon’s wonderful record in Hunter Pleasure at the show – 2 firsts, 2 Reserves and a Championship in the AAOTR Limit Rider!

Total placings at the show for Enzo offspring include 4 Halter championships and 4 reserves, two championships in performance (1 Western and 1 Hunter Pleasure) and 2 Reserves (both Hunter Pleasure). There were a total of 20 Halter Top Tens (9 open, 9 amateur and two JTH) and 6 performance (1 Western Pleasure and 5 Hunter Pleasure) for a grand total of 26 Top Ten awards. Additional awards won by Enzo offspring included two 1sts, a 2nd and a 4th in Hunter Pleasure, a 2nd and a 4th in Western Pleasure and a 2nd and a 6th place in Sport Horse halter competition.

Enzo definitely has something to write home about. Congratulations to all.
